Box Breath (Or... The Stupidly-Simple Breathing Technique Navy Seals & First Responders Use To Change How They Feel In Less Than 60 Seconds!)

Virtually all sickness & disease can be in some way attributed to physical/physiological or psychological stressā€¦

The question is how can you get out of that stress fast, bringing about healing states of calm, relaxation & inner peace?

Well, one place we can draw inspiration is by looking at what those who experience massive doses of stress on a daily basis do to calm their mind & body quickly?

Weā€™re referring specifically to First Responders, military personal & NAVY Sealsā€¦

Turns out, they have a trick up their sleeve & itā€™s breathwork.

Specifically, one of the simplest, yet most powerful breathing techniques famously used by NAVY Seals & the alike is called Box Breathing, as weā€™ll cover & you can start practicing nowā€¦

Here's how to perform 'Box Breathing' (do it now to test...)

  • First, you're going to breathe in for 4 seconds (through your nose & keeping your mouth relaxed in the process)

  • Next, you're going to hold your breath for 4 seconds

  • After, you'll breathe out for 4 seconds (this time through your mouth)

  • Finally, you're going to hold that out breath for another 4 seconds.

Thatā€™s it!

It can be helpful to 1) close your eyes & 2) picture your breath like the 4 sides of a box/square going up one side, across, down & then across again completing the box/square. Like this:

Repeat these 4 steps (the 'box') without interruption for 2-3 minutes & notice how it completely changes how you feel!
